Art from Portia was born out of my passion for creativity, self-expression and the freedom art provides. While I’ve always admired art, it wasn’t until May 2024 that I decided to pick up some acrylic paints and try my hand at painting. I was searching for a creative outlet that felt different from my day-to-day work in Marketing.

Starting with acrylics and drawn to the abstract style, I've since expanded to working with oil paints, continuously experimenting and evolving my craft. This journey continues to be liberating!

As a Bristol-based artist, I love creating unique pieces that resonate with the soul. Each painting reflects my emotions, brought to life with bold colours and layered textures.

Growing up in the English countryside, nature has always grounded me and now influences my art. My relationships, emotions and personal experiences — especially my journey with epilepsy — also inspire my creative side.

I’m fascinated by how a single piece of art can evoke diverse interpretations and emotions. That dynamic connection with viewers brings me joy.

My goal is to keep nurturing my love for painting while continuing to grow and refine my skills. If my art brings joy or inspiration to others along the way, that’s an incredible bonus!
