Two years ago, I walked into an art shop and bought some brushes, paper and acrylic paints. At the time, I was searching for a creative outlet — an escape from technology.

I recently visited The Whitworth in Manchester. They had a wonderful exhibition that really resonated with me called "Recovery Curators". Though focusing on recovery from substance abuse, for me the artwork translates further to include recovery from any trauma and struggles. The capricious journey of recovery, of accepting oneself and the trauma we work through. 

I'm very excited to share my upcoming solo exhibition in The Crypt at The Mount Without this April! An honour to show my work in such a beautiful location.
