On my 30th birthday, I treated myself to a lifesize sparkly peacock. Like a polystyrene taxidermi...with sequins ✨😉 She is called Lizzie, and is a she even though she is for sure a beautiful Peacock and not a hen!
The name was chosen in honour of Queen Elizabeth II as it coincided with her platinum jubilee! 🇬🇧

On my 32nd birthday, I visited Porto and had a wonderful day in "Jardins do Palacio de Cristal". This park is full of peacocks, on the ground, in the trees... The cry of the peacock coming from all around and sight of their tail in the branches or beautiful feathers lying in the shaded grass is such a great memory for me.

The deep colours and beauty of the animal frequently appear in my art as they inspire me.
