Delicate Beauty

A celebration of not only Japanese culture, but recognising the variety of cultures around the world and what they each teach us. We can learn so much from their diverse beauty and nature.

Geisha are a celebration of the arts, in various forms. They embody peace, respect and tradition. 

Aside from using the tea ceremony as a backdrop, I included the Japanses art of Kintsugi, a method of fixing broken ceramics with gold (or silver) laquer. In turn, the light is let in, the scars are visible and the broken item is fixed; made to be even more beautiful.
